Central Coast Ocean Adventures Renamed as Mystic Ocean Adventures, Continuing to Set Sail for Experiential Learning Opportunities for Local Youth

Central Coast Ocean Adventures, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is proud to announce its new name: Mystic Ocean Adventures (MOA). This rebranding reflects the organization's growth and evolving programs, better encapsulating its core identity and values.

The name "Mystic" pays homage to the organization's tall ship, Mystic Whaler, which serves as the heart of its operations and a unique floating classroom. Mystic Whaler is more than just a vessel; she embodies adventure, discovery, and the enduring spirit of the sea, having hosted countless young people on their ocean journeys.

"This change reflects our continuing commitment to providing immersive and inspiring ocean experiences for all youth," says Deputy Director Adri Howe. "We believe that the name 'Mystic Ocean Adventures' more accurately captures the essence of our mission: to ignite a passion for learning, foster a deeper understanding of marine ecosystems, and empower the next generation of leaders and ocean stewards."
